In August 2015, representatives of Greater Victoria's police services and the members from the Muslim community took part in a community engagement and dialogue event. The event was co-organized by the Greater Victoria Police Diversity Advisory Committee (GVPDAC) and hosted at the Masjid Al-Iman Mosque. Participants engaged in discussions about how to improve relationships and understanding between police and the Muslim community.
