In April 2018, the Sikh Youth of Victoria organized this event and welcomed everyone to Camosun College campus where you could experience having a turban put on your head. This was an amazing day shared by many people.

Celebration for newcomer immigrants and refugees hosted and organized by the Francophone Immigration Program, Here! Magazine, Francophone Society of Victoria and other community organizations.

On October 14th, 2017, members of the Greater Victoria’s police services and a local Mosque participated in a large soccer tournament. The day began with a prayer at Masjid Al-Iman where everyone was welcome, followed by the soccer tournament. A celebration and shared meal hosted at the Madjid Al-Iman brought everyone back together to enjoy great food and to talk about the soccer games held.

The Greater Victoria Police Diversity Advisory Committee and the Community Partnership Network (CPN) organized a diversity seminar on "Exploring Relationships between Police and Diverse Communities — A Theatre Project". An engaging three-hour seminar using transformational theatre explored relationships between ethno-cultural community members and the police. Using real life stories gathered from the Victoria Police Department and local diverse community members, the theatre scenes presented issues, gaps and barriers related to bias, cross-cultural misunderstandings, stereotypes, etc. that can negatively impact police-community interactions.

 On June 22, members of Greater Victoria's police services and the Sikh and Hindu communities took part in a community engagement event. The event was co-organized by the Greater Victoria Police Diversity Advisory Committee (GVPDAC) and the Khalsa Diwan Society. Members from the Sikh and Hindu communities joined in dialogue with police from Oak Bay, Saanich, Central Saanich and Victoria Police and the RCMP. Participants engaged in discussions about how to improve relationships and understanding between police and our diverse communities.

The Greater Victoria Police Diversity Advisory Committee hosted the second a series of police and Community Engagement Events with members of the African-Caribbean community.  Community members and police representatives from Greater Victoria explored their relationships and ways to improve understanding between police and diverse communities.
