Since 1906, the Saanich Police Department has proudly served the residents of the District of Saanich, which has 114,000 people and is the most populous municipality in the Capital Regional District and Vancouver Island.
West Shore Detachment of the RCMP provides police services to the City of Langford, City of Colwood, Town of View Royal, District of Metchosin, District of Highlands, Songhees First Nation and Esquimalt First Nation.
Sidney/North Saanich Detachment of the RCMP provides police services to the Town of Sidney, District of North Saanich and the four First Nations communities of Tsartlip, Pauquachin, Tseycum and Tsawout.

The Victoria Police Department was established in 1858 and is Canada's oldest police department west of the Great Lakes. Our police officers, civilians and volunteers proudly serve the City of Victoria and the Township of Esquimalt.
